As of OfficeWriter 8.1, the OfficeWriter Designer is intended for use in Excel 2007 and 2010 only. If you are using Excel 2003, you will need to use OfficeWriter Designer 8.0.0 or earlier. An explanation of the 2003 toolbar is available under [ ]. {note} | *Open Report* | The *Open Report* button allows you to open saved report definition files (RDL files). These files can be created with the OfficeWriter Designer, Visual Studio, or Report Builder. Open files from your local disk or from a remote server. \\ \\ | !open_report.jpg! \\ \\ | | *Import Template* | *New in 8.6* The *Import Template* button allows you to import an existing XLS, XLSX, or XLSM file and use it as the template for the RDL.
