If the Shape is directly within a Worksheet, the width is in points (1/72 inch). If the Shape is within Chartsheet, the width is a percentage of the chart's width (0-100).

If you set a shape's width (or Shape.Height) to a value read from a spreadsheet, the shape may lose precision due to the way Excel stores shape dimensions.
